RESUMO

Through the questionnaire application, where the dimensions proposed by sBRAGIA (1983) had been used, it was looked to evidence the view the Administrative Technicians have of the Organizational Climate of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The inquiry way that characterizes this research consists in the comparative method of analysis, given that the Teaching Centers of UDESC were used as units of analysis. The significance of the comparative method consists in the possibility of analysis of likenesses and differences among the Teaching Centers of UDESC. The population was composed by the administrative employees technicians of UDESC, which integrate the eight teaching centers of UDESC, in addition to Reitoria (Coordination), being the type of sample utilized broken up and proportional, with systematic withdrawal. This withdrawal by Teaching Centers was done proportionally to the total number of technicians of the same Centers. The data was collected amongst an aimed population, which totalized 407 Administrative Technicians being the sample from a number of 198 technicians. The theoretical recital talks about the Organizational Climate, starting with a brief introduction of the Organizational Development Theory and afterwards the concepts and the approach of the Organizational Climate are discussed. The Characterization of UDESC is presented, with its peculiarities of Public University, vision, values, Organizational Structure, as well as its management model directed to the State improvement, besides other considerations about is actual History such as: Dean exchange, pro tempore Dean and the State intervention in the University Administration. At last the description, analysis and interpretation of the collected data of 2005 in relation to the obtained in 2002 are presented, showing the possible comparisons and deductions, always aiming to attend what was proposed during the research. Concluding with the presentation of the intervention proposals, conclusions and recommendations for the study continuity.
