RESUMO

This work aims to research the intricate educational relation experienced by the Terena child, having as specificity to investigate the relation verified between the indian education and the school education, in the Terena of Buriti village, localized at Dois Irmãos do Buriti. Linked to the Master Educational Program, in Universidade Católica Dom Bosco, in line three: Cultural Diversity and Indian Education, the research is based on studies about cultures, intercultural perspective, considering the anthropological, pedagogical and historical aspects, related to the process of not territorialization and territorialization of these peoples. The methodological procedure has been iniciated with the bibliographical revision followed by an exploratory research, and some observation trough previous visitings to the village. Listening from fathers, mothers, teachers, young and old people, throghout the oral histori technique; it was fundamental to the education knowledge gave to the children. I offered to the children draw workshops to verify the representations of the educational process, in the family as well as in the school. As a result we could say that the ethos Terena is in the education of the children, in their families and school. Although the school makes extra effort to valorize the Terena culture attached to the children, trough the language and dance teaching, the school curriculum still doesnt answer the local diferences. We can conclued that the school is a place where the intercultural education could be promoted, but for that it is needed to include the Terena of Buriti and go deep into some dialog mecanisms between the school education and the Terena indian education, a time that doesnt exist yet, but it would comes true.
