Problemas e desafios do Banco da Terra : um estudo de caso no Norte do Paraná

RESUMO

Brazil, in the years between 2000 to 2003, seated 34,478 families through the Land Bank Program. Of this total settler families, 48.68% are in the South of Brazil. Parana State is in third party in the ranking of the south of Brazil, with 2.160 beneficiaries families. For this study decided to analyze the way that the program was structured in the State of Paraná to give an overview and more particularly of the implemented projects in the northern region of Parana, that have the highest concentration of families settled. The object of this case study projects are two case of the Land Bank Program, from region of Londrina, Parana State. In one project the acquisition of property is made of a collective form and a second project the acquisition of property is made individually, by analyzing the evolution of these projects compatively. We conducted a socioeconomic diagnosis of the members of the project land bank program, measuring their income, agricultural production, educational level, life quality up to the prospect of future, to characterize the situation in which they are members of these projects, precisely in the period that had already started the maturity of financing portions of the land. Through this socioeconomic analysis, we conducted a comparison between the strengths and bottlenecks of the two projects under study, checking the reasons for successes and failures of these two projects.
