RESUMO

The present reaserchs purpuse is to investigate what binds an expert to its domain of expertise, by searching for the subjective meanings and the characteristics of the relation between the individual and its object of study. The psychoanalysis theory or, more specifically, the theories of the objects and its relations, make possible to surpass the cognitive perspectives and the theories of learning applied to the understanding of the expert procedure. Thus, three clinical qualitative interviews were done with prestige experts in areas of knowledge such as law, music and academy. The importance of the inicial relations of each one of the them was verified as well as the way each one had structured its psychics conflicts. The experts that were interviewed have a subjetive personality organized by orality, which can be proved by the specific relation they make with knowledge. Their most primitive drives are sublimated around mentioned objects of study. The lack that constitutes all human being, in the point of view of the psychoanalysis, places them into the movement of life, and allow them to keep studying the same content or renew the studies constantly. This can also be understood in the point of view of learning relations or through the construction of the deliberated studys process, in which experts negociates with the knowledge that they were introduced to by becoming self-regultated and always searching for their improvement.
