1. Sequence stratigraphy of fluvial to shallow-marine deposits: The case of the early Permian Rio Bonito Formation, Paraná Basin, southernmost Brazil
Abstract This study presents new sedimentology data and attempts to understand coastal processes, sedimentary dynamics and stratigraphic patterns of the Rio Bonito Formation (early Permian) in Paraná Basin, southern Brazil. The study was performed based on the description of five cores, located in a small-scale area - São Gabriel City - in Rio Grande do Su

2. The sedimentary record of wet and dry eolian systems in the Cretaceous of Southeast Brazil: stratigraphic and paleogeographic significance
Abstract Sedimentologic and stratigraphic studies of paleo-deserts from the Brazilian Cretaceous are of great potential to understand the paleoclimate and paleogeography of Gondwana during its final rifting stage. Herein, we describe and discuss two depositional units characterized by two distinct eolian systems that are bounded by a long-lived unconformity.

3. DEPOSITION AND COVERAGE OF SOYBEAN LEAF SURFACES BY SPRAYS APPLIED USING DIFFERENT ASSISTED BOOM SPRAYER SYSTEMS
ABSTRACT Maintaining homogeneity in the distribution of fungicidal sprays applied throughout the plant, minimizing the variation between the upper and lower third of the plant, is one of the main challenges for application technologies with regard to soybean crops. To increase the deposition and leaf coverage of sprayed compounds, especially in the middle an

4. Paleoenvironmental Evolution of Continental Carbonates in West-Central Brazil
ABSTRACT This paper presents a sedimentological and stratigraphical study of Quaternary (Middle to Late Pleistocene/Holocene) continental carbonates outcrops inside Pantanal Basin and its surroundings, especially in Serra da Bodoquena, Pantanal do Miranda and Corumbá/Ladário plateau, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as in Serra das Araras, in th

5. 3-D Geological modelling: a siliciclastic reservoir case study from Campos Basin, Brazil
Abstract Reservoir static modelling plays a fundamental role in the evaluation phase of a petroleum field. Integrated modelling allows a better understanding of how the local geology and depositional systems are related through the distribution of facies and petrophysical properties within the reservoir. In this study, geological static models of the silicic

6. Geomorfologia, estratigrafia de sequências e potencial de preservação dos sistemas Laguna Barreira do Quaternário Costeiro do Rio Grande do Sul.
The stratigraphic record of Rio Grande do Sul Coastal Plain embraces four high-frequency depositional sequences corresponding to four barrier-lagoon systems (I to IV). These sequences have been developed during the Pleistocene and Holocene, in response to glacioeustatic cycles of 100 ka. The Holocene coastal system, related to the younger sequence (IV), exhi

7. Sedimentologia e cronologia por luminescência da Ilha de São Francisco do Sul (SC): considerações sobre a evolução holocênica de barreiras arenosas da costa sul e sudeste do Brasil / não infomado
São Francisco do Sul Island (SFSI) is located on the northern coast of Santa Catarina State, Brazil. It covers an area of about 265 km2 with an approximate length of oceanic coastline of 40 km. The island was formed by coastal depositional systems active during the relative sea-level changes of the last 120,000 years. The following relative sea -level fall

8. Estudo palinoestratigráfico e de petrografia orgânica do Cretáceo inferior da Bacia do Recôncavo / Palynostratigraphic and organic petrography studies of the Recôncavo basin early Cretaceous deposits
The present study was based on vertical variations analysis of the organic matter from 50 core samples collected from the well 9-FBA-61-BA, allowing better understanding of the Early Cretaceous of Reconcavo Basin palynological and palynofacies characteristics. Observations throughout combined light and blue light/UV fluorescence techniques, permitted to defi

9. Estratigrafia de seqüências aplicada à caracterização de aqüíferos: um estudo de caso na área de Candiota, Rio Grande do Sul
Detailed stratigraphic analysis of the Early Permian (Artinskian/Kungurian) succession of the intracratonic Paraná Basin in southernmost Brazil has been applied focusing stratigraphic characterization of potential aquifers. In the study area, the counties of Candiota and Hulha Negra, in the southwestern region of Rio Grande do Sul state, the sedimentary suc

10. Aplicação da estratigrafia de sequências para caracterização em multiescala de reservatórios no Grupo Guatá (Eopermiano da Bacia do Paraná) na Região São Gabriel-RS, Brasil
Detailed stratigraphic analysis of the Early Permian Rio Bonito and Palermo Formations of the intracratonic Paraná Basin in the region of São Gabriel County has been used for a study on reservoir characterization of paralic sandstones. Two main depositional systems were recognized, a fluvial-dominated delta system at the base and a wavedominated barrier is

11. Tectônica e sedimentação do Grupo Jacadigo (Neoproterozóico, MS) / Tectonics and sedimentation of Jacadigo Group (Neoproterozoic, MS)
At the south of Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul state, there are huge topographic elevations made of Jacadigo Groups neoproterozoic sedimentary deposits. Those mountains are known as Maciço do Urucum. The basal unit named Urucum Formation is composed by siliciclastic rocks with maximum thickness of 200 to 300m. The sucession continues with mixed GIF (granular

12. Tectônica e sedimentação na Bacia do Camaquã Central (RS): exemplos do Grupo Guaritas e do Grupo Santa Bárbara / Tectonics and sedimentation in Central Camaquã Basin: the Guaritas Group and the Santa Bárbara Group
The relationship between tectonics and sedimentation plays a primordial role in the understanding of sedimentary successions. On the other hand, the study of pre-Silurian fluvial deposits represents a challenge due to the lack of interaction between land plants and river systems which characterizes post-Silurian environments. The Camaquã Basin (Ediacaran to
