1. Cryopreservation as a strategy for prevention of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in a public assisted reproduction service in São Paulo – Brazil
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and associated risk factors in patients undergoing fertilization cycles at risk of OHSS (≥15 antral follicles or ≥15 oocytes aspirated) and submitted to cryopreservation of all embryos in the Human Reproduction Service of the Pérola Byington Hospi

2. Evaluation of the Properties of LaNiO3 Material Prepared by the Modified Proteic Method for Adsorption of Environmental Contaminants
LaNiO3 material was synthesized by modified proteic method, calcined at 900 °C/2 h in air atmosphere and was applied to remove environmental contaminants. LaNiO3 phase with a perovskite structure was formed in the calcined material, which has a surface area of 22 m2 g-1 and is formed by fine particles agglomerated, with pH of the zero charge point of 7.44.

3. Physiology of the forage cactus cultivate Opuntia stricta (Haw.) Haw under different irrigation frequencies in the Semiarid
ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to evaluate the physiological variables of the cultivar Opuntia stricta (Haw.) Haw in the first cycle and in the regrowth, under different frequencies of drip irrigation, cultivated in the Agreste da Paraíba mesoregion. Therefore, a randomized block design was used, with 2 treatments (irrigation frequencies) and 4 rep

4. El Niño-Southern Oscillation impacts on grape yields in Santana do Livramento, Brazil: understanding and early warning of crop failure conditions
ABSTRACT El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is an important source of year–to–year fluctuations in the whole global climate system and in the southern Brazilian climate. El Niño events affect this region, imposing unfavorable weather conditions (rainy/humid/overcast) during critical grapevine phenological stages, compromising yields in the current and

5. Oral dydrogesterone in frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to compare the use of micronized vaginal progesterone and oral dydrogesterone in the endometrial preparation for frozen-thawed embryo transfer. METHODS: This was a randomized, controlled, open, two-armed clinical trial, with women undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer along with hormone replacement therapy

6. Micronutrient content and accumulation in leaves and bunches of black pepper during two crop cycles
ABSTRACT A comprehensive knowledge about micronutrient dynamics in leaves and bunches of black pepper is needed in order to proper diagnose nutrient needs, and thus facilitate fertilization management. This study aimed to evaluate micronutrient concentration and accumulation in leaves and bunches of black pepper bunches to understand the crop nutritional dem

7. Nasal irrigation with corticosteroids in Brazil: the clinical response of 1% compounded budesonide drops and betamethasone cream
Abstract Introduction: High-volume corticosteroid nasal irrigation is a treatment option in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis. In Brazil, alternatives are used to optimize its cost and popularize its use, such as 1% compounded budesonide drops or betamethasone cream, and it is necessary to study these treatment modalities. Objective: To evaluate the cli

8. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in radioiodine-refractory thyroid cancer: A case report of significant response to lu177 DOTA-TATE treatment
SUMMARY A 59-year-old woman with follicular thyroid carcinoma underwent total thyroidectomy followed by radioiodine treatment. Following treatment, the whole-body scan did not show any abnormal radioiodine uptake. However, during the follow-up, the serum thyroglobulin (Tg) value increased without detectable thyroglobulin-antibodies. We performed a Ga-68 DOTA

9. AMORPHOUS CUSEP2/GRAPHENE COMPOSITES AS ANODE MATERIAL FOR ADVANCED POTASSIUM-ION BATTERY
The ternary amorphous CuSeP2 was designed and prepared as the anode material of potassium ion battery for the first time, and its electrochemical performance was also investigated. After ball-milling with commercial graphene powder, it is used as the anode material for potassium ion battery with reversible specific capacity up to 300 mAh g-1, and the corresp

10. Boosting the Photocurrent of the WO3/BiVO4 Heterojunction by Photoelectrodeposition of the Oxy-Hydroxide-Phosphates Based on Co, Fe, or Ni
Here we investigated the photoelectrodeposition of oxygen-evolving catalysts (OECs) based on oxy-hydroxides-phosphates of Co, Fe, or Ni (CoPi, FePi, and NiPi) on the WO3/BiVO4 heterojunction and their activity in water oxidation. The OECs were deposited by cycles of (i) open-circuit potential (OCP) and (ii) applying a potential positive enough to oxidize the

11. Chemometric Evaluation of Poly(3-hexylthiophene) Electrochemical Aging Path as a Function of Electrochemical Synthesis Variables
Conductive polymers are versatile materials that can be applied in many different technology fields, especially green energy. They have several advantages, such as easy synthesis, low density, and cost. However, its electric conduction property is also related to material aging with great loss of their characteristics, limiting their applicability. The in-de

12. Development of a Disposable Pipette Extraction Method Using Coffee Silverskin as an Adsorbent for Chromium Determination in Wastewater Samples by Solid Phase Extraction
A procedure using disposable pipette tips adapted for solid-phase extraction, known as DPX SPE, was used as an alternative way for the chromium determination in wastewater samples. DPX-SPE consists of a device which allows a dynamic contact between the sample and the solid-phase. A residue obtained from the processing of coffee beans, denominate coffee silve
