1. Pollination and breeding system of Canna paniculata(Cannaceae) in a montane Atlantic Rainforest: asymmetric dependence on a hermit hummingbird
We studied the pollination biology of Canna paniculata (Cannaceae), a plant species common in the Atlantic Rainforest of southeastern Brazil. The species presents specialized ornithophilous flowers, which in our study area are solely pollinated by the hermit hummingbird Phaethornis eurynome. Although C. paniculata is capable of bearing fruit after self-polli

2. Construção de distribuições multivariadas com dependências assimétricas : modelos hierárquicos arquimedianos, modelos pair-cópula e cópula t-sudent / Construction of multivariate distributions wits asymmetric dependence : hierarchical arquimedean copula, pair-copula and t-student copula

Raman spectroscopy was used to investigate the vibrational properties in thermally treated and as grown thin films of GaAs1-xNx alloys, with 0,0144 ≤ ≤ 0,0370. Raman spectra exhibit the presence of two GaAs1-xNx characteristic modes. The redshift of the GaAs-like longitudinal-optic phonon (LO1) frequency and the blue shift of GaNlike longitudinal

5. Multicamadas magnéticas de telureto de európio e semicondutores iv-vi crescidas por epitaxia de feixe molecular / Magnetic multilayers of europium telluride and IV-VI semiconductors grown by molecular beam epitaxy
In this work, thin EuTe films and EuTe/PbTe(SnTe) superlattices were grown, and their structural and magnetic properties were characterized. The molecular beam epitaxial growth parameters of the samples were optimized, particularly those of the EuTe/SnTe SLs. To this goal, the growth modes of EuTe on SnTe and vice versa were investigated, and the influence o

6. Função de acoplamento t-Student assimetrica : modelagem de dependencia assimetrica / Skewed t-Student copula function : skewed dependence modelling
The Skewed t-Student distribution family, constructed upon the multivariate normal mixture distribution, known as mean-variance mixture, composed with the Inverse-Gamma distribution, has many desirable flexibility properties for many distribution asymmetry structures. These properties are explored by constructing copula functions with asymmetric dependence.

7. Interação entre política fiscal e monetária, independência do Banco Central e competição eleitoral : uma abordagem de teoria dos jogos
Based in a model that considers the interactions between monetary and fiscal policy and the role of societys expectations about the price level we study the relevance of central bank independence and the electoral effects created by an opportunistic policymaker using the framework of Game Theory in settings of complete and asymmetric information. Under compl

8. Propriedades ópticas anômalas de poços e fios quânticos de InGaAs/InP vicinais
The dynamic and the lateral transport of carriers in quantum wells and quantum wires of InGaAs grown on vicinal InP substrates were investigated by spectrally and spatially resolved photoluminescence techniques. Simulation of the results of spectrally integrated photoluminescence using rate equations showed that the carrier capture and lifetime of the confin

9. Estudo estrutural e eletronico de fulerenos e diamondoides encapsulados em nanotubos de carbono / Structural and electronical study of encapsulated fullerenes and diamondoids in carbon nanotubes
This work presents a theoretical study of carbon nanostructures with great interest in nanoscience world. It is about the structural, electronic and mechanical study of hybrid structures that result from encapsulation of carbon molecules (fullerenes and diamondoids) introduced inside carbon nanotubes. Using classical methods of molecular dynamics we performe

10. Species assembly rules and the biodiversity-ecosystem functioning relationship / Regras entre assemblÃias de espÃcies: relaÃÃo entre biodiversidade e funcionamento do ecossistema
The biological diversity of ecosystems has important implications for their functioning. However, in order for reliable predictions to be made on the effects of species extinctions and/or additions on particular ecosystem functions, accurate knowledge is required on the ways in which species interact. These interactions in turn are important drivers of commu

11. A Dirac description of ¹S0+³ S1-³ D1 pairing in nuclear matter
We develop a Dirac-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov description of nuclear matter pairing in ¹S0 and ³S¹-³ D¹ channels. Here we investigate the density dependence ot the ¹S0 and ³S¹-³ D¹ pairing fields in asymmetric nuclear matter, using a Bonn meson-exchange interaction between Dirac nucleons. In this work, we present preliminary results.

12. Spin-dependent conductance in nonmagnetic InGaAs asymmetric double barrier devices
The spin dependence of the conductance of an asymmetric double-barrier InGaAs device is studied within the multiband k·p and envelope function approximations. The spin-dependent transmission probability for electrons across the structure is obtained using transfer matrices and the low bias conductance per unit area is calculated as a function of the Fermi e
