RESUMO

The theme of this dissertation is technology. Tries to discover weather or not SESI DR-BA transfers technology to construction enterprises in Bahia. The objective of the investigation is to analyze the transfer of SESI DR-BAs technology to a civil construction enterprise in Bahia. This was done by using a strategic method that was divided in two phases: a theoretical approach and a case study. In the first phase concepts of technology and culture were identified and tested. In the second phase a case study was done on the transfer of technology from SESI DR-BA to a civil construction enterprise. For this study an enterprise that participates in SESI DR-BAs Development Training for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems based on OHSAS 18001 was chosen. The data collection instruments used by the researcher for the case study were two interview questionnaires. SESI employees interviewed include the manager, a consultant and the program coordinator. The employees of the participating enterprise interviewed include a director and an occupational health and safety technician. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively observing the objectives of the study while evaluating the consistency of the subject proposed. The results obtained were analyzed through a technology and organizational culture lens and indicated that SESIBA transfers technology to the researched organization.
