The politicians discoursesâ analysis of the Referendum 2005 is found exactly in that entercrossing. The corpus chosen is the three major weeks magazines of information in Brazil : Veja , Isto à e Ãpoca. Each one with a political position well-defined in dispute determined the construction of meaning in discourse yes and no and also of what havenât being said, but continued standing for. The main objective of this work is to understand the many effects of meaning that appears on the discourse of / about the Referendum 2005 taking into consideration the recollection discourse, the interdiscourse and the different discourse formations. By the analyze, it is possible to observe that there is a intense dialog among the three magazines and the line that separates the two antagonistic speeches is too tenuous. Initially put in opposite positions and irreconcilable, it is possible to identify that yes and the no have many points of contact. Those discourses rivaled among themselves and unchained a strong polemic in society. What was finally understood was a discoursive war which the senses ran from one side to another in a uninterrupted process of ( rebuilding ) and (re) significance
