Sentidos e significados da escola para o adolescente em semiliberdade

RESUMO

The main objective of this research is the investigation and the analysis of the directions and meanings for the semifreedom teenagers. Some questions guided our wor: - Which is the sense and the meaning of the regular school for half-freedom teenagers who are obriged to attempt to them? What does this situation represent in their lives? In order to answer those questions, I have interviwed many students under half-freedom that attempt to regular High Schools of Sao Paulo State. The tradicional point of view claims those students should attempt to special school institutions, however there is an opposite position defended by Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente pointing the school as everyones rights, being the teenagers and children in conflic with the law as absolute priority and they have the right to be guided to a pedagocial process that respects their indivitualities. Its essential, historically, to insert the pertaining to school institutions and those adolescents, attributing the cultural and social aspects the source of the differences between the citizens. The methodology used in this research is inserted in the paradigm of the qualitative research. Which consisted of half-structuralized interviews with teenagers and tried to identify, in the lacks or breaks of their speeches, the moment they are living in the school, and the directions and meanings that they attribute to the school, and to their lives in it. From the analysis of the data, it was verified that the teenagers themselves appropriate the social meanings of the school just like the ones the society assimilates which have singular menaings. The school was meant as a learning space as well as a space for social contact, then, school in their lives is a place for the social insertion. From the Lev Semionovich Vigotski (1896-1934), based on the cultural and historical perspective of the human development and its metodological implications of the research, the answers had been searched in the scope of the meanings: whats the development of those teenagers, whats their insertion in the symbolic world and in the culture and, plus the way each one assumes the school in their life context
