RESUMO

This study aims at identifying reflexivity strategies in contrast to disorientation, anxiety and descentring processes made for intense workdays, acceleration and contingent problems of technical order among professional working with compute programs in the city of Recife. This is a set of challenges to which are submitted men and women who develop software. We intended to know how these people plan their action, projects and private and professional expectations in order to establish more harmonious standard of life considering personal and working demands. Thus, our objective, once identified reflexivity strategies, is to analyze how subjective demands are interrelated with technical priorities, establishing types of action and association with different kinds of rationality. The context where the software professional (engineers, programmers, system analysts, designers, business administrators) work is characterized by the globalized capitalism is extensively discussed by authors like Daniel Bell, Manuel Castells, David Harvey, Anthonny Giddens, among others. The existence of a relationship network which helps to characterize this society is of great importance to understand the relation among firms, public institutions, consumer market of goods and services, educational and research institutions. The working environment â the software plants â are institutions which compete in equal conditions with firms worldwide. The work process in software plants has the strong necessity of knowledge actualization applied to accomplish jobs. This demands a nonstop knowledge actualization, in an accelerated, contingent and continuous fashion. We have found out that subjective features interrelate with practical and functional ones in the auto-reflexivity process composition, from which develop criticism to the learning system, of execution of the developing software job, apart from private and professional values. As a result, the private and professional priorities are rearranged in relation with subjective experiences and values, determining solutions to anxiety, auto-determination capability loss and risk. The solutions are based on personal experiences and ways of working in software plants which are in opposition to insecure conditions experienced in the development work, in the manager obligations and in the executive and employer responsibilities in the focused firms
