RESUMO
Abstract In this paper we look at the impact that legal pluralism originated within indigenous people has had on the mexican constitutional text, and whether it is posible to consider it as a part of the New Latin American Constitutionalism. Legal pluralism is characterized as an expression of the crisis of the modern state; taking legal pluralism originated within indigenous people as a liberating project, we will make a brief description of its status among different Latin American constitutions. Finally, we will deal with the Mexican constitutional text with an analysis closely related to the demands made by the indigenous people as they are found in the San Andres agreements.
