RESUMO

This paper presents a focus of study the actions of social conservative groups in Pernambuco, or individuals committed to maintaining a social and political order with emphasis on the action of landowners. These groups aimed to make a socially accepted reality consist of the idea of danger, produced by the mobilization of rural and urban workers, influenced by left-wing groups such as; Peasant Leagues, the Communist Party of Brazil, Brazilian Communist Party, Brazilian Socialist Party and syndicate. The dissertation investigates the rationality produced by conservative groups to the proposals for social reforms or even revolution propagated by the left in Pernambuco, between the years 1959 and 1964. And so, trying to understand how the ideas of danger and threat began to play a leading role within that society
