RESUMO

This research was developed to respond to the following question: how teachers knowledge was changed by two teachers envolved with the study of pertinent elementary notions of probability? To answer the question we put two teachers together in a puiblic school in Hortolândia, that taught math classes to student between seven and ten years old, on average. Four types of activities were developed on this projects. In one of them we met together and discussed concepts of Probability. Another activity that we did was when we planned and did na activity in the class-room, sometimes we worked with the researcher and sometimes without him. Another activity that we did was when we had two related meetings to evaluate the class work, like study sessions. The fourth type of acvtivity proposed to the teachers was to respond, in writing, to a questionaire with the purpose of organizing the developed work and to discuss our thoughts about probability, as much the conceptual aspect as curricular. The project had informal conversation that brought about other ideas in relation to practice and theory in the educative process. The analysis of the information production from our research was done using a base of two theoritical axis: teacher knowledge and probabilistic intuition.
