O jogo discursivo da inclusão : práticas avaliativas de in/exclusão na matemática escolar

RESUMO

This thesis aims at analyzing Mathematics teachers¿ evaluation practices, in an attempt to understand the constitutive rules of discursive game of inclusion working in these practices. To do so, I made a research inspired by Foucault, using analytical tools such as norm/normalization, governmentality and inclusion and exclusion - in /exclusion. I propose the following question as research problem: how does the discursive game of inclusion constitute Mathematics teachers¿ school evaluation practices? The research was carried out at the Municipal Department of Education and Sports of Novo Hamburgo/Rio Grande do Sul (MDES/NH) and also in a municipal school linked to it. According to its representative, the school has an inclusive education plan and has difficulties in Mathematics evaluation. Along the investigation, I examined the Department files, dated from 1988 to 2008, analyzing the enunciations and trying to discover the knowledges of the discursive game of inclusion. I also turned to the municipal school studied, where I analyzed files, interviewed the directive team and five Mathematics teachers, and observed practices related to evaluation ¿ at the classroom, in the Class Council meeting and at the pedagogical coordination room. I have built four analytical units: 1) Individualization and differentiation practices; 2) Evaluation as governance technique in progress; 3) Mathematics evaluation in the school: when the student isn´t only a subject of knowledge; and 4) The pedagogical outsourcing. In these analytical units, one can notice the rules of the discursive game of inclusion working in the Mathematics teachers¿ evaluation practices. Such evaluation practices, from the discursive games of inclusion, use disciplinary techniques and regulatory mechanisms that aim at approximating the subjects to the different degrees of normality. On reaching individual subjects, impact the management of the society as a whole, working as a form of governance of the population, inside the political rationality of an age, the neoliberal political rationality.
