Modelagem e simulação do escoamento axial anular de mistura solido-fluido não-newtoniano em dutos horizontais e inclinados

RESUMO
Amechanistic model was developed to describe the steady-state flow of solid ? non newtonian fluid mixtures in inclined or horizontal eccentric annullus. Themodel consists of a two-layer configuration, the top layer being aheterogeneous suspension and the botton one acompact bed of solids. Conservation laws of mass and linear momentum were formulated for the system, as well as, interaction laws between mixture and walls and for the interface of the two layers. Besides, a turbulent difusion process was used to characterize the mechanism of dispersion of particles in upper layer. The system developed was solved for the several patterns which characteri~e the sOlid-liquid two phase flow, using itterative methods. The elaboration of acomputer program allowed the application of the model in the analysis of the drilled cuttings transport in directional and horizontal oilwells. Curves for prediction of solids concentration, bed height, friction losses and critical flow rate in funciton of several independent variables were obtained. The computer simulator may bean effective tool in the programming of drilling hydraulics
