RESUMO

This work considers the influence of multiphase flow (oil, gas and water) in the well test analysis of non - flowing wells: For example, Drill Stem Tests (DST) and Slug Tests. To achieve this end, a two-dimensional (r-z), variable bubble point, black-oil simulator was built that considers a well partially penetrating the formation. Initially, the reservoir is at equilibrium condition with a initial pressure greater or equal to the initial bubble point pressure. A sequence of flow and/or static periods may be imposed at the well to simulate a non-flowing well test, considering the buildup of a liquid column (oil and water) with inertial effects neglegible. Comparisions with analytical methods (developed for single-phase flow of fluid of small and constant compressibility) in the determination of reservoir parameters (eg.,transmissibility) are made to determine how good or bad these methods are in the presence of more than one phase flowing in the porous medium. During flow periods (Slug Test for example) significant discrepancies are obtained in the comparison, whereas in the buildup flow periods the discrepancies become less significative. Explanations to these effects are given in detail, and justify why, usually, reservoir parameters obtained from flow periods do not mach results obtained from buildups periods in the well test analysis
