RESUMO

The AJD (AssociaÃÃo JuÃzes para a Democracia), a movement in Brazilian justice, is our subject and our purpose is perceive if the ideas defended by AJD can to identified it as a ideological or utopist movement, according to Karl Mannheim. The main question that impulse this research was the discussion about ideology on Law, and it can be concentrated around the existence of judgeâs ideology. The first epistemological cut was about ideology, then, the theoretical reference was Karl Mannheim who didactically worked that word with two versions: ideology and utopia. An other cut was about the empirical subject, the objective was not work the judgeâs ideology as a whole, but yes to think this problematic through the AJD on Pernambuco. This work, on first part, treats theoretically about ideology, its semantic development for then understanding the bases that influenced the means worked by Mannheim. After AJDâs history we discuss some its purposes. These criticizes embased the thesis which, although to present itself as a critical movement in judgeâs category, this fact that on first view we can call it by utopic, the AJD would be next to express its ideas ideologically, then we have the ideology according to Mannheim
