RESUMO

The research investigates the identity of a city in the south region of Brazil (Santa Catarina State) in aspects such as education, culture formation, school, teachers, students and sexuality. Following the title of this project Hidden Identities: Fanny: Background and Education in Brusque, in the 60s the research looked for a new way of telling the memory a woman and of a city. The research brought light to the past of a prostitute , her life, her behavior and from that, her presence in the formation and sexual education of young of a city in the south of Brazil. The rescue of this social memory in the speech of three teachers and four client-men of the prostitute Fanny brings light to the social context in which school, family and singular individuals match in cultural formation of young from Brusque in the sixties. In terms of discoveries, the research presents unespectable results with unusual blood relations of Fanny with Duque de Caxias in her married life with Eduardo de Lima e Silva Herhaum, Duque de Caxias nephew, an Indian peacemaker in Indian reserve of Ibirama (Santa Catarina State) in the twenties of last century. The goal of this search, beyond reveal their personalities, actions and consequences in the local society, is also to protect their memoirs, their profile, their meanings.
