RESUMO

Objective: To evaluate the initial conduct of different professional groups (Teachers, Firemen and Odontology Students) before and after getting information on tooth avulsion, in Palmas - TO. Method: A questionnaire was applied to professional people of different areas in order to evaluate attitudes before this occurrence. After 15 days a lecture was given to clarify and guide the conduct of urgency in cases of avulsion. At the end of the lecture the same questionnaire was applied to the groups. The results obtained, before and after, were presented on a representative way by graphics for each question after the informations. Results: It was verified that before the lecture, the interviewed people had not enough knowledge about the initial conduct to be taken before these cases. It is worth highlighting that after previous guidance on the appropriate procedure to be taken, it was noticed an improvement in the attitude of the participants. Conclusion: The study showed that the presentation of educational lectures improves, in professionals of different areas, the knowledge about the immediate conduct before cases of avulsion.
