RESUMO

The discussion adout generic medicine programs implementation comes being carried through since 1958 for the World Health Organizatios (WHO), being this wide used as instrument of the reduction of custs in developer counyties. Only recently, after generic law (law number 9887/99), the Brazil take the iniciative. To reach this objective, it is basic the active and consientious participation of the responsible professioanls by prescription and dispatch of medicines. Value the impact of the generic politcs on the medical classroom being detected if these professionals duly they are prepared and engaged in the related politcs it is intention of the present work. The inquiry hÃs drawing of a cross-sectional survey. Counting for attainment of the data, of inquirit on the questionnaires form, applied in one it shows extractes of the universe of the doctors with residence in the city of Recife. Almost the totality enclosed 400 doctors in the study (96,75%) had more than a work. The specialties most frequency had been clinical generality (19%), gynaecologist (18,5%), cardiologist (11,75%) and dermatology (11,75%). 100% of the doctors they knew the generic law . However the national medicine politics and RENAME alone were known by 31,75% and 13,34% respectively. On the frequency of the use of the generic name in his prescriptions 27,75% they had informed to always use 60% some times, however when prescription analyze only 35,5% used generic name. How much the quality of generic medicine 12% affirmed to de inferior to the reference medicine. Examine that amout on the knowledge on the politics in the medicine Ãrea still is not satisfactory. It also notices that although to know the law of the generic ones and to be made use to prescribe theses medicines, the majority of the doctors continues to use medicines of mark in his prescription. Considering the the relebance of the medical precription as reduction of custs , the participation of the health professionals is important duly warned to compromise the secces of the generic progam. The implementation of strategies is necessary , some of them alredy foreseen, that they lead to a bigger adhesion on the part these professionals. Certainly the adhesion of the different agents is essential who intervence with the implantation amplest of the medicine natinal politics , for the overcoming of the identified impediments and thus na effective consolidation of the rational medicine use in the country
