RESUMO
The channel modeling is of crucial importance in determining the path loss of RF signals emitted by a transmitter. This work aimed at determining a channel model, by means of the analysis of measurement of the received signals levels from a TV Digital transmitter operating in the UHF range during a survey in the region of Curitiba. From the comparison of some propagation models reported in the literature, it was possible to fit the log-distance model for the propagation behavior observed in a set of measurements obtained in the field, and then to propose an empirical propagation model that can be used in predicting the coverage of Digital TV signals in the region of Curitiba
