RESUMO

My research examines and analyses Lula s pronouncements at specific points in hispresidency. The question asked is "what do Lula s speeches say," but the orientation of my research is "what do Lula s speeches and pronouncements answer?" The analysis? way was a dialog with Bakhtin s concept of gender discourse, which has a relationship to another Bakhtin concept, called "utterance". Using the language philosophy of the Bakhtin circle, I defended the position that the production of gender discourse depends on the articulation, even in a non articulated structure fixed and predetermined, with concepts like memory/memory of future, theme/signification, ideology/quotidian ideology and statement
