RESUMO

We present the movement equations of n punctual vortices over the following Riemann surfaces: the sphere S2 and the hyperbolic space H2. We also state the Hamiltonian formulation of the vortices motion over these surfaces. For this purpose, we primarily present the stereographic projection over S2 and over H2. Then, we construct the Laplace-Beltrami operator and its Green functions. The vorticity field and the stream function are related through the Laplace-Beltrami operator in such way that we express the stream function as an integral form by using the Green functions. As an instance, we consider the movement of a pair of vortices and prove that its trajectory describes a geodesic over S2 and H2
