RESUMO

This work deals with the development of a method which enables a visual analyse of the form of the urban equipment in relation to the environment in which they are put in. The proposed method is based on the cross modality of the analyses, which are grouped in three categories: the visual model, the quality of the form, and the configuration of the environment. The method has a relating character, considered that the analyses are done from an elaborate arrangement which are carried out between the connections of the modality. Each combination shows the followed path and reveals part of the investigated problem. This method was simultaneously developed and tested, with the intention to evaluate its applicability and to carry out the necessary adjustments. The result is a method that tries to order and explain the various complex levels that involve the analyse form of the urban equipment.
