RESUMO

With respect to the context of the knowledge and information society, several discussions on the role of contemporary schools along with the process of teaching-learning, point to a shift in the focus and mission of educational institutions. This shift requires the personalization of teaching as a highlight placing the student as the main actor of his/her learning process. In this context, self-planning of the learning process activities may represent better performance by the students and greater satisfaction in executing the tasks involved in this process. A preliminary review in the literature indicates a lack of initiatives to provide computational tools to support students self-planning. By considering the features of a Teaching Plan initially proposed by the teacher, we devise a model of a learning plan to be handled by each student. Building on that notion, this work proposes to provide computational support for a student s planning, allowing him/her to personalize the initial plan and to reformulate it during his/her learning process accordingly. The design of the computational environment relies on the concept of Workflow, more specifically, flexible Workflow, which provides process modeling at run time. An integration of previous work from the literature on Computers in Education is proposed to thus support the design and execution of plans derived from the students learning processes.
