RESUMO
The main objective of this research was to analyze a process of formation for teachers of autistic students that intended to bring the teachers to a reflective-critic position, through the appropriation of subjects which included from content and didactic strategies to attend students in this conditions to more specific teaching competencies. This study involved a partnership between the Education Department of the City of Duque de Caxias Special Education Team and the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) Graduate Program of Education. We used the as methodological approaches the action-reseach and participant observation procedures. Six teachers were subjects of the group, that which developed in ten collective meetings for the proposed formation. The data collection was done in a descriptive fashion, based on the participant observations, the teachers arguments in semi-open interviews, and from written records produced during the group process. We adopted Donald A. Schons theories about the use of reflection in the formation professional groups, revised and extended by a critic perception of other authors such as Pimenta e Contreras. We point out the importance of a space devoted to learning, that valued the interaction between the teachers, that had respect to the individual times and the different ways of learning. In short, that had as main principle to create a reflective-critic conscience in the members, generating bonds of thrust and affection. We considered of great relevance the formation of critic-reflective teachers in Special and Inclusive Education, so that they have conditions to place themselves and act with responsibility and autonomy, demanding working conditions appropriate to the demands of this new reality of an education that respect the ideals of a fair and democratic society.
