RESUMO

The main objective of this research was to identify the effects of meaning by the enunciative marks from the Biblical Psalms and to investigate the game of the dialogue in the Religious Discourse, trying to find out the way people, time and space are projected and verifying, especially, what happens in the relationship between sender and receiver. The underlying theoretical framework was based on the French Discourse Analysis, Speech Act Theory and A. J. Greimas Semiotics. Discourse Analysis seeks to understand how a symbolic object produces meanings in its linguistic and historical materiality through the enunciative marks left from the sender s discursive formation. From the effects, the textual organization procedures, the discourse mechanisms of production and reception of these effects, and, in the dialogue game, the relationship between sender and receiver are observed. Therefore, by observing the process of text construction and the production of meanings one reaches the discursive process that is meaningful because stems from a game defined by dominant ideological formation, allowing to understand how the meanings of the discourse are constituted. The Speech Act Theory helps to study the marks from the discourse which indicate that it is produced at the moment its message is sent, the sender establishes a dialogue with the receiver s discourse as conceiving him as an active element, to whom it is attributed the image of a counter-speech. Semiotics describes and explains the text from an immanent view. Then, it is necessary to exam the internal and external mechanisms, as well as the contextual, social and historical factors of meaning production to explain what the text says and how it says, taking into account the sender has a series of options to project his discourse, having in mind the effects of meaning he wants to produce in order to try to persuade his receiver.
