3. A polysaccharide fraction extracted from Pleurotus ostreatus mycelial biomass inhibit Sarcoma 180 tumor
ABSTRACT Fungi of Pleurotus genus have attracted a great interest due to their medicinal properties such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antitumor. These properties are attributed mainly to polysaccharides synthesized by Pleurotus. This work aimed to study the mycelial growth of P. ostreatus in submerged culture, evaluating the influence of the initi

4. Agaricus subrufescens: substratum nitrogen concentration and mycelial extraction method on antitumor activity
ABSTRACT Antitumor activity of Agaricus subrufescens has been shown on vegetative mycelium and basidiocarp. However, few studies have assessed the effect of A. subrufescens cultivation conditions and extraction methods on antitumor activity. This study evaluated the effect of nitrogen concentration on the cultivation medium of A. subrufescens and the extract

5. Are salty liquid food flavorings in vitro antitumor substances?
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the antiproliferative, cytotoxic and genotoxic potential of salty liquid synthetic flavorings of Butter, Cheddar Cheese and Onion. The antiproliferative potential (2.9-1500 µg/mL) was assessed by MTT assay after 72h using the human tumor lines SF-295 (glioblastoma), OVCAR-8 (ovarian), HCT-116 (colon) and

7. Cytotoxic and toxicological effects of phthalimide derivatives on tumor and normal murine cells

8. Extracellular polysaccharide production by a strain of Pleurotus djamor isolated in the south of Brazil and antitumor activity on Sarcoma 180
Polysaccharides with medicinal properties can be obtained from fruiting bodies, mycelium and culture broth of several fungus species. This work was carried out in batch culture using a stirred tank reactor with two different initial glucose concentrations (40-50 g/L) and pH values (3.0-4.0) to enhance extracellular polysaccharides production by Pleurotus dja

The phytochemical investigation of Rollinia leptopetala led to the isolation of a new compound named α-terpinyl caffeate, and five known compounds, being three sesquiterpenes, spathulenol, β-caryophyllene and 4β,10α-aromadendrane-diol, and two alkaloids, (-)-3-hydroxynornuciferine and (+)-norisocorydine. These alkaloids are being described for the first

10. AvaliaÃÃo do potencial antitumoral e antiangiogÃnico de novos anÃlogos ftalimÃdicos da talidomida / EVALUATION OF THE ANTITUMOR AND ANTIANGIOGENIC POTENTIAL OF NEW FTHALIMIDES THALIDOMIDE ANALOGUES
The thalidomide was previously used to relieve gastric discomforts during pregnancy, and currently it is used for cancer treatment and inflammatory illnesses. Various phthalimides analogues of thalidomide have been researched for its antiangiogenic and immunemodulatory activity. In previous studies, these analogues showed absence of immunesuppressor activity

11. Evaluation of the interference of diabetes in the biodistribution and antitumor activity / Avaliação da interferência do diabetes na biodistribuição e na atividade antitumoral da cisplatina em camundongos
