2. Bayesian modeling of the maximum streamflows from the Furnas reservoir
ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to predict the maximum flow of the Furnas reservoir in the dry and wet periods. The generalized distribution of extreme values (GEV) was used with parameter estimation via Bayesian inference. Data on average daily streamflows corresponding to the years 1965 to 2017 were obtained from Hidroweb, by the National Agency fo

3. Extracts of the Native Brazilian Tree Garcinia gardneriana Inhibit Urediniospore Germination of Coffee Leaf Rust Fungus
The fungal Hemileia vastatrix is the causal agent of coffee leaf rust, one of the worst and devastating disease in coffee cultures worldwide. As a result of our research on natural products for the development of novel agrochemicals, we found that the hexane extract from leaves of the Brazilian medicinal plant Garcinia gardneriana, at 500 μg mL-1, inhibited

11. Role of elastography strain ratio and TIRADS score in predicting malignant thyroid nodule
ABSTRACT Objective: Ultrasonography (US) is the most accurate and cost-effective imaging method in diagnosis of thyroid nodules. A practical thyroid imaging reporting and data system (TIRADS) for thyroid nodules has been proposed to classify nodules of the thyroid gland to solve the problem of nodule selection for fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). 12. Effect of Push-Pull Ruthenium Complex Adsorption Conformation on the Performance of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells
A new series of tris-(bipyridyl)ruthenium-like complexes based on the 4-tripheylamine-2,2’:6’,2’’-terpyridine (TPA) push-pull ligand was prepared by incorporation of 4-carboxypyridine (cpy), 4,4’-dicarboxi-2,2’-bipyridine (dcbpy) and 4-carboxyterpyridine ligands (ctpy) ligands, in order to adsorb them on TiO2 in different anchoring conformations.
