Virulence genes and antimicrobial resistance of Pasteurella multocida isolated from poultry and swine

Abstract Pasteurella multocida causes atrophic rhinitis in swine and fowl cholera in birds, and is a secondary agent in respiratory syndromes. Pathogenesis and virulence factors involved are still poorly understood.
