Technological Feasibility of Hovenia dulcis thunb. Species for the Production of Edge Glued Panels

ABSTRACT This study aims to evaluate the use of Hovenia dulcis wood to produce Edge Glued Panels – EGP. To this end, joints with dimensions of 5.0 × 31.0 × 2.5 cm (Width × Length × Thickness) were put together using polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and emulsion polymer isocyanate (EPI) adhesives at a spread rate of 200 g.m-2 and the chemical characterization of the wood was performed.
