ABSTRACT In this article we review some theoretical approaches to the artistic proposal of Argentine theatre director Vivi Tellas, focusing on her documentary theatre project Archivos, an expression of her wider project Biodrama. We will look into different aspects that define her particular way of working with the real materials her performances are based on, and we will consider the possible ethical and aesthetic implications of her work.
