Estudo da incorporação de resíduos da industria calçadista em misturas asfálticas

ABSTRACT The footwear industry discards residues in its most diverse phases of production, the Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) being one of them. This work proposes an evaluation of the use of EVA’s residue discarded by the footwear industry of Campina Grande city in asphalt mixtures. The modified asphalt binder was characterized by penetration test, softening point, and rotational viscosity. The asphalt mixture was prepared through the SUPERPAVE methodology. The EVA’s residue incorporated to Petroleum Asphalt Cement (CAP) through the wet process in percentages of 0, 2, 3, 4 and 5 % in mass. ...
