Enhanced production of erythritol and mannitol by Yarrowia lipolytica in media containing surfactants

Abstract Various chemical compounds, including surfactants, when introduced to culture media may increase the permeability of cellular membranes and thereby affect the quantity of metabolites excreted by cells.
