1. Pollen morphology of Centaurea L. (Asteraceae) in Iran
The genus Centaurea L. is one of the largest genera in the family Asteraceae. The number of taxa included in this genus ranges from 500 to 600 worldwide. Iran is one of the major centers of diversity for this genus. Pollen morphology has proved useful in the systematics of Asteraceae, as well as in that of some of its genera and species. The pollen morpholog

2. Potencial geoturístico das quedas dágua de Indianópolis/MG
The tourism is growing up in last decades and the alternative tourism with its mainly representatives (ecotourism, geotourism, rural tourism and the adventure tourism) is which has more highlights actually. Based on this concepts, the geotourism is the more recently, which was created to valorize the non-biotic aspects of the landscape, making a join with co

3. Scelianoma elydimorpha, a new genus and new species of entimine weevil from southwestern Puerto Rico (Coleoptera: Curculionidae, Entiminae)
Scelianoma elydimorpha Franz & Girón, new genus and new species, an entimine weevil endemic to southwestern Puerto Rico, is described and illustrated in detail, and assigned to the tribe Eustylini (Curculionidae: Entiminae). Scelianoma is distinguished from related taxa by the following diagnostic features: shape narrowly elongate, length/width ratio 2.8-3.

4. Sistemática de Anthurium sect. Urospadix (Araceae) / Systematics of Anthurium sect. Urospadix (Araceae)
We present a phylogenetic analysis of Anthurium sect. Urospadix and related groups (Araceae). The genus has traditionally been considered taxonomically difficult and there has been little resolution of relationship within it. We performed parsimony analyses on morphological and molecular, and combined data sets. Anatomical characters have been used in classi

5. Perseu e Medusa: uma experiência de captura estética / Perseus and the Gorgon: an experience in aesthetic capture
The aesthetic capture experience is presented as of the impact undergone by the author in her encounter with Perseu and Medusa sculptured by Camille Claudel and all the issues consequent to that episode. She searches other authors similar encounters, such as that of Freud with Michelangelos Moses aiming at identifying those more general elements composin

6. Reconstrução de superfície a partir de um conjunto não-organizado de pontos
Surface reconstruction is the area dedicated to get complex geometric models from a finite set of unorganized points of object surfaces. This area has become increasingly important in Geometric Modeling and other applications such as Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Virtual Reality and Engineering. This Master thesis describes a broad survey of the main r

7. Protein-mediated surface structuring in biomembranes
The lipids and proteins of biomembranes exhibit highly dissimilar conformations, geometrical shapes, amphipathicity, and thermodynamic properties which constrain their two-dimensional molecular packing, electrostatics, and interaction preferences. This causes inevitable development of large local tensions that frequently relax into phase or compositional imm

8. Sculpturing squeezed states to get highly excited fock states
We study two experimental schemes generating highly excited number states starting from an initial squeezed state. One of the schemes works for stationary fields, the other for traveling ones.

9. Ootaxonomic investigation of five Lutzomyia species (Diptera, Psychodidae) from Venezuela
The eggshell fine structure of five sand fly species from Venezuela belonging to the genus Lutzomyia (L. migonei, L. ovallesi, L. absonodonta, L. gomezi and L. panamensis) was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The chorionic sculpturing of L. migonei, L. ovallesi, L. absonodonta and L. gomezi was characterized by series of columns arranged in palisade

10. Premature dissolution of the microsporocyte callose wall causes male sterility in transgenic tobacco.
Male sterility in a petunia cytoplasmic male sterile line has been attributed to the early appearance of active callase, a beta-1,3-glucanase, in the anther locule. This leads to premature dissolution of the callose walls surrounding the microsporogenous cells. We have mimicked this aspect of the petunia line in transgenic tobacco by engineering the secretio
