1. FUZZY MODELING IN ORANGE PRODUCTION UNDER DIFFERENT DOSES OF SEWAGE SLUDGE AND WASTEWATER
ABSTRACT The present work aimed to develop mathematical fuzzy models to evaluate the effects of different doses of sewage sludge and irrigation with wastewater and potable water. Such models were elaborated from an experiment carried out at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences, in the Department of Soil and Environmental Resources, from the Sao Paulo State Univ

2. Sequence stratigraphy of fluvial to shallow-marine deposits: The case of the early Permian Rio Bonito Formation, Paraná Basin, southernmost Brazil
Abstract This study presents new sedimentology data and attempts to understand coastal processes, sedimentary dynamics and stratigraphic patterns of the Rio Bonito Formation (early Permian) in Paraná Basin, southern Brazil. The study was performed based on the description of five cores, located in a small-scale area - São Gabriel City - in Rio Grande do Su

3. Uma abordagem neurofisiológica da acetilcolina em plantas de milho hidratadas e sob condições de estresse hídrico / A neurophysiological approach to acetylcholine in maize plants hydrated and under water stress conditions
The occurrence of action potential and neurotransmitters, the major components of animal nervous system, in plants, bacteria and fungi, shows the universality of signaling principles and information transmission in the way of chemical and electrical signals in all organisms. These study topics, along with plant intelligence and vesicular-based auxin transpor

The Mina da Palma oceanic plateau is described for the first time in the São Gabriel Block, southern Brazilian Shield. It is composed mostly of metabasalts, marbles and metachert. Two deformational events are recognized in the Palma region, thrust faulting followed by dextral subvertical shearing. The rocks were metamorphosed in the greenschist facies, as s

6. Geoquímica e isótopos de Nd de rochas metavulcânicas da antiforme Capané, complexo metamórfico Porongos, RS
The Capané Antiform, located in the northern part of the Neoproterozoic Porongos Metamorphic Complex (RS), is composed of a supracrustal sequence metamorphosed under greenschist (eastern flank) to amphibolite (western flank) facies. Four groups of rocks were recognized. Groups 1 and 2 are constituted of felsic and mafic rocks from the central and western pa

New genotypes of ryegrass of other localities and with desirable characteristics are being commercialized as tool to reach better zoothenic performance indices. However, research must be carried through on its potentiality in the place to be implanted, searching to prevent problems in the growth and development of these fodder plants, compromising potential

8. Combining ability of elite clones of Eucalyptus grandis and Eucalyptus urophylla with Eucalyptus globulus
In Brazil, eucalyptus breeding programs for cellulose production has used two species, Eucalyptus grandis and Eucalyptus urophylla. Nevertheless, it would be useful to introgress alleles from other species to improve wood quality and volume. The objective of this research was to evaluate the hybrid potential of elite clones of E. grandis and E. urophylla fro
