1. Evaluation of the effect of chlorhexidine and sodium hypochlorite in adhesive cementation of fiber posts - in vitro study

2. Small RNA sequencing reveals microRNAs related to neuropathic pain in rats
The present study aimed to identify microRNAs (miRNAs) that are involved in neuropathic pain and predict their corresponding roles in the pathogenesis and development process of neuropathic pain. The rat model of neuropathic pain caused by spared nerve injury (SNI) was established in Sprague-Dawley male rats, followed by small RNA sequencing of the L3–L6 d

3. Effect of peracetic acid used as single irrigant on the smear layer, adhesion, and penetrability of AH Plus
Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of peracetic acid (PAA) as a single irrigant on the smear layer, on the intraradicular dentinal bond strength, and on the penetrability of an epoxy-based resin sealer into the dentinal tubules. A total of 120 roots were distributed into 4 groups according to the irrigant used in root canal preparation

4. Effect of photodynamic therapy and non-thermal plasma on root canal filling: analysis of adhesion and sealer penetration
Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and non-thermal plasma (NTP) on adhesion and sealer penetration in root canals. Material and Methods Sixty single-rooted premolars were used. The teeth were prepared using a crown-down technique. NaOCl and EDTA were used for irrigation and smear layer remova

5. Influence of antimicrobial solutions in the decontamination and adhesion of glass-fiber posts to root canals
AbstractObjective This study evaluated the effect of root canal disinfectants on the elimination of bacteria from the root canals, as well as their effect on glass-fiber posts bond strength.Material and Methods Fifty-three endodontically treated root canals had post spaces of 11 mm in length prepared and contaminated with E. faecalis. For CFU/ml analysis, ei

6. Blood clot stabilization on root dentin conditioned by the combination of tetracycline and EDTA
AIM: To assess the combined use of tetracycline (TTC) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) on clot formation, considering that EDTA may neutralize TTC acidity. METHODS: Planed human tooth roots were treated with saline solution, EDTA, TTC and their combination (EDTA followed by TTC and TTC before EDTA). Fresh human blood was applied on the condit

7. Etidronate from Medicine to Endodontics: effects of different irrigation regimes on root dentin roughness
An increase in dentin roughness, associated with surface composition, contributes to bacterial adherence in recontaminations. Surface roughness is also important for micromechanical interlocking of dental materials to dentin, and understanding the characteristics of the surface is essential to obtain the adhesion of root canal sealers that have different phy

8. Influência de materiais obturadores e agentes de limpeza na resistência da união e interface adesiva de pinos de fibra de vidro à dentina intrarradicular / Influence of filling materials and cleaning agents on bond strength and adhesion interface of glass fiber post to radicular dentin
The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the post-cement-dentin adhesive interface quality and the effect of different filling materials and cleaning agents on the bond strength of glass fiber posts to primary root dentin. This study included 156 roots of bovine primary teeth which were endodontically treated and assigned to four groups (39 teeth each

9. Influência da limpeza mecânica com e sem o uso do microscópio operatório na resistência adesiva intrarradicular / Influence of mechanical cleaning with and without the use of the operating microscope in intraradicular adhesive strength
In endodontic treatment, there is an imperative need to restore the tooth, reestablishing its functions, since there is always a risk of recontamination of the root canal system and fractures. These risks are higher when there is loss of dental structure, requiring intraradicular posts to hold the restoration procedures in place. For the definitive and immed

10. Adhesion of real seal to human root dentin treated with different solutions

11. Adhesion strategy and early bond strengths of glass-fiber posts luted into root canals
This study investigated the effect of coinitiator solutions and self-adhesive resin cement on the early retention of glass-fiber posts. Cylindrical glass-fiber posts were luted into 40 incisor roots with different adhesion strategies (n = 10): SB2, Single Bond 2 + conventional resin cement (RelyX ARC); AP, Scotchbond Multipurpose Plus (SBMP) activator + prim

12. Effect of Er,Cr:YSGG and Er:YAG laser irradiation on the adhesion of blood components on the root surface and on root morphology
The aim of this study was to conduct an in vitro evaluation, by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), of the adhesion of blood components on root surfaces irradiated with Er,Cr:YSGG (2.78 µm) or Er:YAG (2.94 µm) laser, and of the irradiation effects on root surface morphology. Sixty samples of human teeth were previously scaled with manual instruments and di
