2. Technical contributions to territorial planning and the use of ecosystemic services in a hydrographic basin with a water deficit in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil

3. Expression, production, and renaturation of a functional single-chain variable antibody fragment (scFv) against human ICAM-1
Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) is an important factor in the progression of inflammatory responses in vivo. To develop a new anti-inflammatory drug to block the biological activity of ICAM-1, we produced a monoclonal antibody (Ka=4.19×10−8 M) against human ICAM-1. The anti-ICAM-1 single-chain variable antibody fragment (scFv) was expressed at

4. Production of polyclonal antiserum against Cowpea mild mottle virus coat protein and its application in virus detection
Cowpea mild mottle virus (CpMMV), the causal agent of stem necrosis disease, has drawn attention of soybean producers in recent years due to yield losses in the main producing regions of Brazil. Serological methods for viral detection require the use of an antiserum of good quality to achieve specificity and sensitivity. The entire coat protein gene of a Bra

5. A reinserção dos cursos de água em áreas urbanas. Estudo de caso: Microbacia do Córrego Jataí - Uberlândia /MG / The reinsertion of the watercourses in urban areas. Case study: the Stream watershed Jataí - Uberlândia/MG
The main objective of this work is to promote the reinsertion of urban water in the context of physical and territorial planning, in the cities, through the study of the watershed of Jataí stream in Uberlândia-MG. Pursuiting the rebalancing of the waters with the urban environment, this work promote the connectivity and physical strengthening of the relati

6. Dinâmica molecular de proteínas: estabilidade e renaturação / Protein Molecular Dynamics: stability and thermal renaturation

7. Expressão heteróloga e caracterização bioquímica da proteína recombinante GmSBP2/S64 da soja (Glycine max) / Heterologous expression and biochemical characterization of GmSBP2/S64 recombinant protein from soybean (Glycine max)
The sucrose binding protein (SBP) belongs to the cupin family of proteins and is structurally related to vicilin-like storage proteins. In this investigation, SBP was expressed in E. coli and large amounts of the protein accumulated in the insoluble fraction as aggregated, denatured protein. The refolding of the purified protein proceeded with a progressive

8. Identificação e caracterização de proteinas que se associam in vitro a fita telomerica rica em G de Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis / Identification and characterization of proteins that associate in vitro with the Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis G-rich telomeric strand
The chromosomal ends of Leishmania (Leishmania) amazonensis contain conserved 5 - TTAGGG-3 telomeric repeats, that are maintained by telomerase. Using Telomeric Repeat Amplification Protocol (TRAP) we detected telomerase activity in protein fractions purified from S100 and nuclear extracts. Protein complexes that associate in vitro with telomeric DNA sequenc

9. The adenovirus DNA binding protein enhances intermolecular DNA renaturation but inhibits intramolecular DNA renaturation.
The Adenovirus DNA binding protein (DBP) imposes a regular, rigid and extended conformation on single stranded DNA (ssDNA) and removes secondary structure. Here we show that DBP promotes renaturation of complementary single DNA strands. Enhancement of intermolecular renaturation is sequence independent, can be observed over a broad range of ionic conditions

Bacteriol. 86:1019–1024. 1963.—Malic dehydrogenase from a marine psychrophilic vibrio (PS 207) was found to be heat-sensitive at 30 C, the maximal growth temperature for

11. Renaturation of complementary DNA strands mediated by purified mammalian heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 protein: implications for a mechanism for rapid molecular assembly.
Purified heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) A1 protein, which is found in vivo associated with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA), promotes the rapid renaturation of nucleic acid strands. Maximal renaturation activity requires the glycine-rich carboxyl-terminal one-third of the protein, although the amino-terminal two-thirds also has activity. Th

12. Renaturation kinetics and thermal stability of DNA in aqueous solutions of formamide and urea.
This paper reports the results of a systematic study of the effects of formamide and urea on the thermal stability and renaturation kinetics of DNA. Increasing concentrations of urea in the range 0 to 8 molar lower the Tm by 2.25 degrees C per molar, and decreases the renaturation rate by approximately 8 percent per molar. Increasing concentrations of formam
