1. Electrooxidation of Mixed Ethanol and Methanol Solutions on PtSn/C Electrocatalysts Prepared by the Polymeric Precursor Method
Different mass ratio proportions of PtSn (m/m) electrocatalysts with 20% metal loading on a carbon support were prepared for use in ethanol:methanol solutions oxidation reactions. PtSn/C (3:1) (91% alloy degree, lattice parameter of 0.399 nm and mean crystallite size 4.8 nm) presented the best activity for oxidation of mixed solutions. The highest normalized

2. Preparação e caracterização de eletrocatalisadores PtSn/C - terras raras e PtRu/C - terra raras para a eletro- oxidação do etanol / Preparation and characterization of PtSn/C-rare earth and PtRu/C-rare earth using an alcohol reduction process for ethanol electro-oxidation

5. Ethanol electrooxidation on Pt-Sn and Pt-Sn-W bulk alloys

6. Estudo de catalisadores de Pt-Sn para o ânodo da célula a combustível de membrana trocadora de prótons alimentada com etanol direto / Study of Pt-Sn electrocatalysts for the anodes of proton exhange membrane fuel cell supplied with ethanol
Carbon supported Pt-Sn catalysts were prepared by reduction of Pt and Sn precursors with formic acid. The method allowed the efficient preparation of catalysts with low Sn contents (Pt:Sn ratio 9:1) and with high Sn contents (Pt:Sn ratio 1:3. In spite of the fact that Sn was anchored in the material, only part of the Sn is inserted in the fcc structure of Pt

8. Evidence of Multiple Regulatory Functions for the PtsN (IIANtr) Protein of Pseudomonas putida
The ptsN gene of Pseudomonas putida encodes IIANtr, a protein of the phosphoenol pyruvate:sugar phosphotransferase (PTS) system which is required for the C source inhibition of the ς54-dependent promoter Pu of the TOL (toluate degradation) plasmid pWW0. Using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, we have examined the effect of ptsN disruption on the general

9. The Rhizobium etli rpoN Locus: DNA Sequence Analysis and Phenotypical Characterization of rpoN, ptsN, and ptsA Mutants
The rpoN region of Rhizobium etli was isolated by using the Bradyrhizobium japonicum rpoN1 gene as a probe. Nucleotide sequence analysis of a 5,600-bp DNA fragment of this region revealed the presence of four complete open reading frames (ORFs), ORF258, rpoN, ORF191, and ptsN, coding for proteins of 258, 520, 191, and 154 amino acids, respectively. The gene

10. Role of ptsO in Carbon-Mediated Inhibition of the Pu Promoter Belonging to the pWW0 Pseudomonas putida Plasmid
An investigation was made into the role of the ptsO gene in carbon source inhibition of the Pu promoter belonging to the Pseudomonas putida upper TOL (toluene degradation) operon. ptsO is coexpressed with ptsN, the loss of which is known to render Pu unresponsive to glucose. Both ptsN and ptsO, coding for the phosphoenolpyruvate:sugar phosphotransferase syst

11. Sigma 54 Levels and Physiological Control of the Pseudomonas putida Pu Promoter
The cellular levels of the alternative sigma factor σ54 of Pseudomonas putida have been examined in a variety of growth stages and culture conditions with a single-chain Fv antibody tailored for detection of scarce proteins. The levels of σ54 were also monitored in P. putida strains with knockout mutations in ptsO or ptsN, known to be required for the C-so
