1. Perinatal outcomes of prenatal diagnosis of congenital pulmonary airway malformation: an experience
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to assess the perinatal outcomes of pregnancies with a prenatal diagnosis of congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation. METHODS: We conducted a retrospective cohort study based on information contained in the medical records of pregnant women whose fetuses had been prenatally diagnosed with congenital cystic adenomatoid

2. A two-year follow-up of asfotase alfa replacement in a patient with hypophosphatasia: clinical, biochemical, and radiological evaluation
SUMMARY Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is a rare disease with a high mortality rate in its severe forms. It is caused by mutations within the gene encoding the tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNSALP), an enzyme responsible for bone mineralization. In 2015, the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of asfotase alfa, the first medication showing benef

4. Fetal structural anomalies diagnosed during the first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy using ultrasonography: a retrospective cohort study
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: The prevalence of congenital abnormalities in general populations is approximately 3-5%. One of the most important applications of obstetric ultrasound is in detection of fetal structural defects. OBJECTIVE: To assess fetal structural anomalies diagnosed using ultrasound in the three trimesters of pregnancy. DESIGN AND SETTING: Ret

5. Outcomes of Cases of Prenatally-Diagnosed Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformation
Abstract Objective To evaluate the outcomes of cases of prenatally-diagnosed congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM). Methods We retrospectively evaluated cases of prenatally-diagnosed CPAM between 2004 and 2018. Ultrasonographic features such as visualization of a fetal lung mass and heterogeneous pulmonary parenchyma were used for CPAM diagnosis.

6. Relationship between fetal biometric assessment by ultrasonography and neonatal lamb vitality, birth weight and growth
Abstract Ultrasonographic examination of pregnant ewes can enable the identification of perinatal abnormalities and establish prenatal assistance responsible for minimizing morbidity and perinatal mortality. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the feasibility of a fetal biometric analysis by ultrasonography to predict neonatal vitality and lamb growth during the

7. Diagnóstico pré-natal da síndrome de Beckwith-Wiedemann pela ultrassonografia bidimensional e tridimensional
Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome is a genetic syndrome characterized by macroglossia, omphalocele, fetal gigantism and neonatal hypoglycemia. The authors report a case of Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome diagnosed in a 32-year-old primigravida in whom two-dimensional ultrasonography revealed the presence of abdominal wall cyst, macroglossia and polycystic kidneys. 8. A Descriptive Epidemiology Study of Oral Cleft in Sergipe, Brazil
Introduction The nonsyndromic orofacial cleft is the fourth most common birth defect, but in Brazil, data about the cleft epidemiology are not accurate. Objective This study aimed to describe the epidemiologic characteristics of oral cleft cases at Specialized Society Attending Cleft Patient in Sergipe State. Methods Data were obtained from pat

9. Influência do controle glicêmico no potencial de crescimento fetal em pacientes com diabetes melito gestacional / Influence of glycemic control on fetal growth potential in patients with gestational diabetes
