1. Seed quality of 22 quinoa materials (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) from the department of Boyacá
ABSTRACT Chenopodium quinoa Willd. is a pseudocereal with seeds that are a rich source of vitamins and minerals. However, there are few studies on quinoa seed quality, especially for the Colombian germplasm. So, the objective of this research was to determine the quality of 22 quinoa materials from the Department of Boyacá by evaluating the physical (color,

2. POST-HARVEST QUALITY OF OZONATED MACAUBA FRUITS FOR BIODIESEL PRODUCTION

Abstract Anthracnose and soft rot cause deterioration of quality as well as large losses during post-harvest handling of papaya fruits. The single strategies for disease control is little efficient. We analyzed the effect of to integrate control strategies on the incidence of disease caused by the inoculation of spores of the fungi Colletotrichum gloeospori

A produtividade,

5. CaracerÃsticas morfo-agronÃmicas e deterioraÃÃo controlada em sementes de tagetes / Morpho-agronomic characteristics and controlled deterioration in Tagetes seeds
The species of the genus Tagetes, commonly known by Marigold, present easy cultivation, are quite ornamental and show a relatively long flowering cycle. T. patula L. cultivars present a full blooming during the summer and can be traded either as cut flowers or as potted plants. On despite of its economic importance, little is known about their morpho-agronom

6. Efeitos das condições de armazenagem sobre a qualidade da soja (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) e do óleo bruto / Effects of storage conditions on the quality of soybean grains (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) and crude oil
Brazil s 2005/06-grain production is forecast at approximately 123 million tons. Of this total, Brazil should produce 57 million tons of soybean grains, i.e., 46% of the national production. Brazilian agricultural production, however, needs to meet the international demands in order to gain foreign markets, maintaining good quality of grains is therefore ess

7. Caracterização físico-química e purificação de enzimas amilolíticas de mandioca (Manihot esculenta Crantz) cv. Zolhudinha / Characterization physical-chemistry and purification of amylolytic enzymes from cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) cv.Zolhudinha
Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is a root from a native plant, cultivated in South América, that is hightly perish on the post-harvest time. The mechanisms of the root deterioration are due to enzymatic and oxidative reactions as well as the microbiological attack. In this work were studied roots of Zolhudinha variety, EMBRAPA - IM 158, cultivated in Ama

8. Senescence Inhibition and Respiration Induced by Growth Retardants and 6N-Benzyladenine 1
Senescence of Grand Rapids leaf lettuce was greatly reduced at 3 storage temperatures by post-harvest treatment with N,N-dimethylaminosuccinamic acid (Alar) and 2-chloroethyltrimethylammonium chloride (CCC), but not with 6N-benzyladenine (BA). Conversely, Alar and CCC were inactive on broccoli while BA was markedly effective. The deterioration and discolorat
