1. Short implants to support mandibular complete dentures - photoelastic analysis
Abstract This study evaluated the stress behavior around short implants in edentulous atrophic mandibles. Six groups included implants with two diameters regular and wide (4 and 5 mm) and three lengths (5, 7 and 9 mm) as follows: Ci9 (9 x 4 mm), Ci7 (7 x 4 mm), Ci5 (5 x 4 mm), Wi9 (9 x 5 mm), Wi7 (7 x 5 mm) and Wi5 (5 x 5 mm). These groups were compared to t

2. Photoelastic analysis of stress generated by Connecticut Intrusion Arch (CIA)

3. Investigation of the influence of design details on short implant biomechanics using colorimetric photoelastic analysis: a pilot study
Introduction : The clinical survival of a dental implant is directly related to its biomechanical behavior. Since short implants present lower bone/implant contact area, their design may be more critical to stress distribution to surrounding tissues. Photoelastic analysis is a biomechanical method that uses either simple qualitative results or complex calcul

4. Analysis of Stress and Fracture Strength of Zirconia Implants after Cyclic Loading
AbstractThe aim of this study was to manufacture a new zirconia implant (Y-TZP) and to evaluate the fracture strength and stresses generated after cyclic loading compared to titanium implants. Thirty-three zirconia and titanium implants were fabricated. The stress generated around the implants was observed by photoelastic analysis. The implants were then sep

5. Stress Generated by Customized Glass Fiber Posts and Other Types by Photoelastic Analysis
O objetivo deste traba

6. Photoelastic analysis of stress generated by wires when conventional and self-ligating brackets are used: A pilot study

7. Photoelastic analysis of all-on-four concept using different implants angulations for maxilla
Conventional tilted implants are used in oral rehabilitation for heavily absorbed maxilla to avoid bone grafts; however, few research studies evaluate the biomechanical behavior when different angulations of the implants are used. The aim of this study was evaluate, trough photoelastic method, two different angulations and length of the cantilever in fixed i

8. Analysis of stress induced by screws in the vertebral fixation system
Objective: To compare, using photoelasticity, internal stress produced by USS II type screw with 5.2 and 6.2 mm external diameters, when submitted to three different pullout strengths. Methods: Two photoelastic models were especially made. The simulation was performed using loads of 1.8, 2.4 e 3.3 kgf.The fringe orders were evaluated around the screws.

9. Photoelastic stress analysis in mandibular bone surrounding bar-clip overdenture implants
The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate, using the photoelastic analysis method, the stress distribution in mandibular bone surrounding a bar-clip overdenture when 2 implant angulations were simulated. Two mandibular photoelastic models were manufactured, with 2 implants embedded in the interforaminal region: model 1 - PAPI, a photoelastic analysis mo

10. Importance of a distal proximal contact on load transfer by implant-supported single adjacent crowns in posterior region of the mandible: a photoelastic study
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the importance of a distal proximal contact on the load transfer to the posterior region of the mandible by non-splinted adjacent implant-supported crowns using photoelastic stress analysis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A rectangular model (68x30x15 mm) was made of polymethylmethacrylate resin to simulate half of the mand

11. Avaliação de próteses fixas sobre implantes com diferentes níveis de ajuste pilar/prótese: efeito da ciclagem termomecânica sobre diferentes parafusos protéticos e análise fotoelástica da transmissão de tensões / Evaluation of fixed implant-supported prostheses with different levels of abutment/prosthesis fit: the effect of thermomechanical cycling on different abutment screws and photoelastic analysis of stress transmission

12. Análise mecânica e fotoelástica de sistemas de fixação interna estável utilizados para o tratamento de fraturas subcondilares da mandíbula / Mechanical and photoelastic analysis of internal fixation systems used for treatment of subcondylar mandibular fractures
Fractures of the mandibular condyle are presented as the most common injuries to the maxillo-mandibular complex, however there is still great controversy regarding treatment. The aim of this study was to assess comparatively, in vitro, by mechanical and photoelastic testing, fixation for condylar fractures with different systems. For the mechanical tests 60
