14. Regression and uni-multivariate methodologies for reduction of the replication number in experiments of the intermediary phase of a soybean breeding program.
The intermediary phase of a soybean breeding program involves the evaluation of a large number of genotypes (about 100 lines) in several environments, becoming this a very expensive step. The utilization of statistical methods that allow a refined analysis of the genotype x environment (GxE) interaction, may generate gains in precision as a compensation to t

15. Phenotypic plasticity of Myzus persicae (Hemíptera: Aphididae) raised on Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala (kale) and Raphanus sativus L. (radish)
The study of variability generated by phenotypic plasticity is crucial for predicting evolutionary patterns in insect-plant systems. Given sufficient variation for plasticity, host race formation can be favored and maintained, even simpatrically. The plasticity of size and performance (assessed by the lifetime fitness index r m) of six clones of Myzus persic

16. Additive-Multiplicative Approximation of Genotype-Environment Interaction
A model of genotype-environment interaction in quantitative traits is considered. The model represents an expansion of the traditional additive (first degree polynomial) approximation of genotypic and environmental effects to a second degree polynomial incorporating a multiplicative term besides the additive terms. An experimental evaluation of the model is
