11. Derecho e innovación ambiental
"Este libro recoge diversos puntos de vista acerca del rol de la innovación ambiental, como eje motor de las políticas públicas tendientes a fomentar la sostenibilidad y a reducir el impacto ambiental. Se analiza esta figura a través de conceptos concretos como diseño sostenible, marcas verdes, eco-etiquetas, flora medicinal u obtenciones vegetales entre otros; todo ello, desde los derechos de propiedad intelectual que protegen y fomentan este tipo de innovaciones, tanto en dimensión individual como colectiva. Esta diversidad temática es directamente proporcional a la complejidad del discurso que el autor plantea, sin que ello vaya en detrimento de su unidad conceptual. Por el contrario, al ser abordados los conceptos desde sus distintos contornos, se resaltan no sólo los desafíos que se deben afrontar para salvaguardar el interés general, sino que se proponen posibles alternativas de solución tendientes a mejorar la estructura actual de estos derechos, su enfoque y prioridades. En suma, el libro además de resultar de gran interés para los estudiosos en el tema, es la culminación de una valiosa labor de investigación que, complementado con la óptica proveniente de la experiencia acumulada por el autor, se proyecta como un importante aporte teórico dentro de las estrategias de mitigación, adaptación y recuperación en materia ambiental."
