1. Robot assisted laparoscopic excision of a paraganglioma: new therapeutic approach
The Paraganglioma is the most common extra-adrenal pheochromocytoma arising from neural crest (1) (It will better to write: The paraganglioma is an extra-adrenal pheocromocytoma arising from the neural crest. 10% of pheocromocytomas are extra-adrenal and can arise form chromaffin tissue derived from primitive neuroectoderm). Minimally invasive techniques all

2. Ablação por radiofreqüência da fibrilação atrial paroxística: fatores determinantes da eficácia clínica a longo prazo / Radiofrequency catheter ablation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation: decisive factors of the clinical efficacy in long-term.
The objective of this study was to evaluate in retrospect, in long-term, the predictors of late recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in 139 patients submitted to the ablation by radiofrequency, through the techniques ostial or extra-ostial of approach of the atrium left, associated or not to the ablation of the cavotricuspid isthmus(ICT). Variables pre, in

4. Infectious rabies viruses from cloned cDNA.
The generation of infectious rabies virus (RV), a non-segmented negative-stranded RNA virus of the Rhabdoviridae family, entirely from cloned cDNA is described. Simultaneous intracellular expression of genetically marked full-length RV antigenome-like T7 RNA polymerase transcripts and RV N, P and L proteins from transfected plasmids resulted in formation of

5. Reaction of the Escherichia coli quinol oxidase cytochrome bo3 with dioxygen: the role of a bound ubiquinone molecule.
We have studied the kinetics of the oxygen reaction of the fully reduced quinol oxidase, cytochrome bo3, using flow-flash and stopped flow techniques. This enzyme belongs to the heme-copper oxidase family but lacks the CuA center of the cytochrome c oxidases. Depending on the isolation procedure, the kinetics are found to be either nearly monophasic and very
