The author asssessed the efficay of rehabilitaton program for forty-six patients who had undergone lumbar disk microsurgery. Describe the rehabilitation program, as the evaluation methodology that are the core of this present experimental model. The patients were dividded in three groups, the first one made therapeutics exercises, supervised by a physioterap

3. Periodic crosslinking of microtubules by cytoplasmic microtubule-associated and microtubule-corset proteins from a trypanosomatid.
The dominant element in the cytoskeleton of Crithidia fasciculata is a peripheral corset of microtubules enclosing the cell body and closely underlying the plasma membrane. A lateral spacing of 50 nm is maintained by crosslinks, and microtubules may also be linked to the plasma membrane. We have characterized groups of polypeptides that associate with microt

5. Two Related Subpellicular Cytoskeleton-associated Proteins in Trypanosoma brucei Stabilize Microtubules
The subpellicular microtubules of the trypanosome cytoskeleton are cross-linked to each other and the plasma membrane, creating a cage-like structure. We have isolated, from Trypanosoma brucei, two related low-molecular-weight cytoskeleton-associated proteins (15- and 17-kDa), called CAP15 and CAP17, which are differentially expressed during the life cycle.

6. Evaluation of low back pain and assessment of lumbar corsets with and without back supports.
A method is described for evaluating the progress of patients with back pain. Various symptoms were scored on analogue scales and spinal motion was measured by various techniques. These data were integrated to make subjective and objective indices respectively. Reasonable reproducibility of the measurements was obtained. This technique was used to elucidate

7. The 3' Regulatory Region of the Abdominal-B Gene: Genetic Analysis Supports a Model of Reiterated and Interchangeable Regulatory Elements
The Abdominal-B (Abd-B) gene is one of three genes in the bithorax complex, a cluster of homeotic genes in Drosophila. During embryogenesis Abd-B is expressed in a complex pattern, producing four different transcript classes, each of which exhibits a unique spatial pattern of expression. Proper regulation of the class A transcripts is required for appropriat

8. Coupling of Posterior Cytoskeletal Morphogenesis to the G1/S Transition in the Trypanosoma brucei Cell CycleD⃞
The expression levels of four Cdc2-related kinases (CRK1, 2, 4, and 6) in the procyclic form of Trypanosoma brucei were knocked down in pairs using the RNA interference (RNAi) technique. A double knockdown of CRK1 and CRK2 resulted in arrested cell growth in the G1 phase accompanied by an apparent cessation of nuclear DNA synthesis. The arrested cells became
