1. Microwave Assisted Combustion Synthesis and Characterization of Nanocrystalline Nickel-doped Cobalt Ferrites
Abstract Nanoparticles nickel-doped cobalt ferrites [NixCo1-xFe2O4 (x = 0.0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0 of Ni2+)] were prepared by the microwave combustion synthesis, using a stoichiometric mixture of metal nitrates and urea as the oxidizer and fuel to drive the reaction. The effect of microwave irradiation on the phase composition was favorable to promote the

2. Alternative Igniters Based on Oxidant Salts for Microwave-Induced Combustion Method
In this work, solutions of oxidant salts were evaluated as alternative to nitrate solution for the ignition step in microwave-induced combustion (MIC) method. Aqueous solutions of KClO4, K2Cr2O7, KMnO4 and K2S2O8 in several concentrations were evaluated and it was observed that the ignition was dependent on the concentration and type of igniter solution. Mor

4. Síntese de catalisadores do tipo LaNixFe1-xO3 como precursores catalíticos para reação oxidação parcial do metano
Nickel-bases catalysts have been used in several reform reactions, such as in the partial oxidation of methane to obtain H2 or syngas (H2 + CO). High levels of conversion are usually obtained using this family of catalysts, however, their deactivation resulting from carbon deposition still remains a challenge. Different approaches have been tested aiming at

5. Determinação experimental do fluxo térmico em um corpo rombudo em regime hipersônico com adição de energia à montante / Experimental heat flux to a blunt body in hypersonic flow with upstream laser energy deposition
Due to the high heat transfer rates which takes place in hypersonic flight and the consequent necessity of prohibitively massive thermal protection equipment, new methods of flow control are required to enable flight in such regimes. Here arises the Direct Energy Air Spike concept, where electromagnetic energy (laser/microwaves) is focalized upstream of the
