1. Geostatistical simulations with heterotopic hard and soft data without modeling the linear model of coregionalization
Abstract Most mining decisions are based on models estimated/simulated given the information obtained from samples. During the exploration stage, samples are commonly taken using diamond drill holes which are accurate and precise. These samples are considered hard data. In the production stage, new samples are added. These last are cheaper and more abundant

2. Pastures Degradation and the Relation with Pedo-Geomorphological Attributes in Watershed
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to map the levels of degradation of pastures and its association with chemical properties of the soil and relief. We selected a sub-basin located in the municipality of Viçosa, Minas Gerais, and we mapped the degradations through Ikonos images that were submitted for classification. Soil samples were collected and an

3. Mapping Soil Cation Exchange Capacity in a Semiarid Region through Predictive Models and Covariates from Remote Sensing Data
ABSTRACT: Planning sustainable use of land resources requires reliable information about spatial distribution of soil physical and chemical properties related to environmental processes and ecosystemic functions. In this context, cation exchange capacity (CEC) is a fundamental soil quality indicator; however, it takes money and time to obtain this data. Alth

4. Improving short-term grade block models: alternative for correcting soft data
Abstract Short-term mining planning typically relies on samples obtained from channels or less-accurate sampling methods. The results may include larger sampling errors than those derived from diamond drill hole core samples. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the impact of the sampling error on grade estimation and propose a method of correcting the impre

5. Utilização da técnica de co-krigagem com inclinação máxima e altitude do terreno no delineamento de zonas de manejo: granulometria do solo e disponibilidade hídrica / Using the technique of cokriging with maximum slope of the terrain and altitude in the delineation of management zones: grain size and soil water availability
In Brazil, few studied are related about soil sampling strategies in areas with more than one type soil and various features of the landscape, these strategies are important to map the spatial variability of physical attributes: size fractions, as well as the correlation of these with geomorphologic parameters: altitude and maximum slope of the sampled area

6. Métodos geoestatísticos de co-estimativas: aplicação aos dados do Campo Escola de Namorado / Co-estimation geostatistical methods: applications to the Namorado Oil Field data
Data used for studying petroleum reservoirs are obtained through drill core, well logs, seismic records and, as a consequence, they present different sampling scales. Multivariate geostatistics is a manner of integrating these data in order to co-estimate a poorly sampled variable based not only on its own information but also on a densely sampled variable.

7. Uso da geoestatística na estimativa volumétrica de clones de Eucalyptus sp no Pólo Gesseiro do Araripe. / Using geostatistics in volumetric estimate of clones of Eucalyptus sp. in the Pole Plasterer Araripe.

9. Krigagem com deriva externa aplicada à avaliação de recursos minerais de calcário e de minério laterítico / Kriging witch external drift applied to evaluation of mineral resources of limestone and lateritic ore
This dissertation is a work on applied geostatistics to evaluation of mineral resources. This application can be considered as the last step to such the task. The basic concepts are based on current geostatistics, with extensive use of informatics resources. The first goal of this work was to test the technique named kriging with external drift in the evalua

10. Co-estimation geostatistical methods: a study of the correlation between variables at results precision / Métodos geoestatísticos de co-estimativas: estudo do efeito da correlação entre variáveis na precisão dos resultados
This master dissertation presents the results of a survey into co-estimation methods commonly used in geostatistics. These methods are ordinary cokriging, collocated cokriging and kriging with an external drift. Besides that ordinary kriging was considered just to illustrate how it does work when the primary variable is poorly sampled. As we know co-estimati

11. Distribuição espacial do risco associado a eventos raros por geoestatística binominal e simulação condicionada / Spatial distribution of risk in rare events for binomial geostatistic and conditional simulation
