1. Evaluation of AH36 microalloyed steel welded joint by submerged arc welding process with one and two wires
Shipbuilding is going through a period of revitalization, growth and technological advancement. One component of these innovations is to improve welding techniques and materials for optimizing processing time, reducing costs and to improve properties and ship performance. The aim of the present work is to evaluate the welding of microalloyed shipbuilding ste

2. Correlation between small punch and CVN impact tests for evaluation of cryogenic fracture characteristics of isothermally-aged nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steels
The Charpy-V-notch impact test has been used routinely to evaluate the ductile-brittle behavior in steels. Likewise, the Small-Punch test has been applied to evaluate toughness properties in different materials. In this work, both tests were conducted at -196 °C on three types of austenitic stainless steels JN1, JJ1 and JK2, which were solution treated and

3. EVALUATION OF THE MICROSTRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE GIRTH WELDING OF AN API 5L X80 STEEL TUBE BY SEMI-AUTOMATIC WELDING PROCESSES WITH GAS SHIELDING / AVALIAÇÃO DA MICROESTRUTURA E PROPRIEDADES MECÂNICAS DA SOLDAGEM CIRCUNFERENCIAL DO AÇO API 5L X80 POR PROCESSOS DE SOLDAGEM SEMI-AUTOMÁTICOS COM PROTEÇÃO GASOSA
The present work evaluates the changes in the microstructural and mechanical properties of an API 5L X80 steel tube due to the influence of heat input exerted during a welding procedure that used two sequential welding processes. The tubes were manufactured using the UOE process, from steel that was produced by controlled rolling without accelerated cooling.
